Urban renewal and non-motorized system planning of Karamay
Description
The updated planning scope of Karamay District encompasses the established urban area of its central district, spanning approximately 40 square kilometers. This round of planning aims to introduce an adaptive renewal approach, aligning with the development objectives of the Karamay Regional Comprehensive Service Center from the top down, and addressing urban stock space governance issues from the bottom up. It identifies targets for renewal, establishes systematic renewal measures, proposes guiding strategies, creates an update project database, exercises control and guidance over essential renewal elements, and actively addresses the implementation pathway for renewal projects. Since the inception of the project, community engagement, collective wisdom, and multi-party deliberation have been pivotal in completing this round of planning through an open-door approach.
